Lydia Miller – Consultant

After completing an Honours degree with the University of Pretoria in a different field of study, Lydia commenced her B Compt degree with the University of South Africa while working in London.

After returning to South Africa, Lydia qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006 having completed her articles at Charles Orbach and Company where she gained experience in numerous industries and clients ranging from SME’s to listed entities.

Post articles Lydia switched to the corporate environment by joining the Standard Bank Group where she headed up the Business Rescue Team focusing on business turnaround strategies for SME’s.

Lydia and her husband relocated to Argentina in 2010 to join the Standard Bank Group in South America where she continued her career in the credit environment whilst acting as credit liaison between the Argentina Operation and the Head Office in South Africa.

Frequently dealing with credit related legal matters prompted Lydia to pursue a legal qualification as well. She is currently in her final year LLB with specific focus on Contract and Tax law.

In order to pursue her interest in Tax law, Lydia decided to join the nubis.tax network as a consultant. Since joining, she has assisted various clients with a wide range of tax queries and advice.

Lydia is an accomplished musician and has been a member of the Symphony Choir of Johannesburg for many years.  She is currently actively involved in developing the music talents of her two young children.
