Lise Claassen – Tax Specialist

Lise Claassen is a Member at Nubis Tax, with more than 30 years of experience across the full spectrum of South African taxation. She spent 29 years at Deloitte, where she progressed to Associate Director in the Corporate Tax practice.

During her tenure at Deloitte, Lise built expertise across corporate income tax, VAT, employees tax, and mergers and acquisitions, advising multinational corporations on employee tax matters across jurisdictions – with a particular focus on the automotive, transport, and FMCG sectors. She also developed specialist knowledge of VAT in the educational sector and in local authorities.

Lise joined Nubis Tax to bring her decades of Deloitte experience to a specialist advisory environment, where she can focus on the complex restructuring and opinion work she finds most rewarding.

Today, Lise advises clients on corporate tax opinions, restructurings, VAT, and SARS dispute resolution. She is known for her quick turnaround, and her conviction that for every tax problem, there is a solution – provided you apply your mind.

Lise is a CA(SA) and holds extensive specialist tax expertise developed over her career at Deloitte.
